Finding the Next Dollar to Save

Join us as Aleta Harper, Financial Advisor for Scotiabank shows how she helps improve the lives of her clients by helping them plan for a fulfilling future and take steps toward achieving their goals. She does this by listening to her clients, asking question to determine their needs and goals, implementing a plan and following up on their progress to build financially successful relationships. She will be covering the Benefits of Financial Advice and the Steps to Building a Financial Plan.

Aleta has been employed with Scotiabank for 28 of her 30 years in Durham Region and have held numerous positions within the bank. She started with a summer job as a part-time teller and has never looked back, progressing from there to hold supervisory, service and support positions before becoming a Financial Advisor in 2011. She is a licensed Mutual Fund Representative and is currently working toward obtaining the Personal Financial Planner designation.

During her time with Scotiabank Aleta has been involved in numerous volunteer and fundraising activities, such as United Way and Grandview Children’s Centre. She is also interested in mentoring and is a member of the Canadian Federation of University Women, Oshawa Chapter. Aleta is an avid interest in the arts and travel and is a member of the Oshawa Art Association, Pineridege Arts Council and Robert McLaughlin Gallery.
