Why Video is Exploding on Social Media in 2019
Facebook has the largest audience of any social network with over 2.07 billion monthly active users. Approximately 100 million hours of video are watched every day on Facebook. in 2017 Facebook Mark Zuckerberg saw video as a megatrend.
This month’s speaker is retired politician turned film maker, Amy McQuaid-England who will be sharing how professionals and business can utilize video as part of their social media marketing strategy.

Amy has over 10 years of communications management experience which included performing a variety of tasks such as the creation and development of political advertising for print, radio and commercial. In addition, she was responsible for email marketing, website management and content development, management of personal brand through social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Website; marketing budget development and cost tracking. She performed as a guest speaker for live audiences of up to 5,000 individuals, as well as attended and participated as a speaker in panels, debates, and television and radio appearances. Amy has also organized special events and orchestrate fundraising efforts.

Amy has successfully earned a Documentary Film Making Diploma, Journalism Diploma, and a Media Art and Design Certificate and currently working on her graduate certificate in Advanced Film. Amy will share her knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media.
